Coach Jerome, our beloved Lead Instructor (and CEO) runs our personal training, boxing, sports conditioning and bootcamps. He has been a star athlete and fitness enthusiast his whole life! He channeled this passion into teaching youth sports and instructing group classes for various gyms & studios. During this duration he formed lifelong bonds and changed the lives of numerous clients. Eventually, he outgrew gym life and it became evident that there was much more that he had to offer to his valued community than could fit confided between the four walls and dim lighting of a studio. Hence, Train Goat Gainz was born!
Coach Dru, our outgoing and peppy Program Director, has been an Educator in our community since 2006. Before joining our team, she spent more than 15 years as an award winning Preschool Teacher, Director and Mentor Director. Dru combines her child development expertise, admiration for children & families, and passion for health into programming that engages and inspires both children and adults to have a lifelong love of fitness and nature! Her passion, Goat Kidz, aims to educate children about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, fitness, and personal well-being! Dru also hosts a popular free community hiking group that meets throughout conejo valley.
Coach Shelya is a fun, organized, detail-oriented biologist and personal trainer. She has a strong background in fitness training both groups and 1:1, in and out of gyms. Additional experience includes camp counseling and marine science education. She shares her passions for fitness, being outdoors, biological wildlife and preservation of our local ecosystems with her clients and students. Coach Shelya graduated with her B.S degree in Biology from CSU Long Beach. She is Scuba & Lifeguard Certified, as well as Adult/Infant CPR/AED Certified. Previously, Shelya ran Catalina Island based Marine Science camps for the Marine Institute of Long Beach. She has been a NASM certified personal trainer since 2018.
Besides coaching volleyball, our wonderful coach Mo is a yoga/sound bath Instructor and specializes in holistic health and nature programs. She often adds in things like grounding walks, or child friendly sound baths into her nature programs. Over the pandemic she ran a co/op for many homeschool families.
Coach Micheal is a fun and enthusiastic coach who enjoys running around and having fun with his students. Specializing in youth basketball and hockey, Michael also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Cal Lu.
Coach Claire specialize in Youth Sports! Prior to her work with the Cal Lutheran Sports Information Team she passionately taught young, aspiring softball players the mechanics and mentality for pitching, as well as worked with more advanced players on upper division skills and varying pitch types. She has also spent time assisting the Special Olympics track competition and teaching youth swimming.
Coach Mark is a skilled college basketball player. He combines his love and talent for basketball with his ability to engage an inspire youth. Catch him on the court helping young athletes tune in to their potential!
Coach Noe is a certified personal trainer and a performance enhancement coach. A boasting Vegan, Noe shares that he once had multiple health problems including high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He decided to make a change in my life and do something about it. Noe also has a background in youth wrestling and football, as well as experience working alongside physical therapists and personal trainers. As a football athlete, Noe tore both his acl's and because of this experience with knee injuries, grew his passion with the body, fitness, and wanting to help other athletes who are going through similar experiences. Noe is experienced in kick boxing and interned with a skilled mentor trainer who specializes in Brazilian jujitsu/ boxing.
Coach Vaughn is a skilled youth basketball coach. Vaughn runs conditioning and skills camps, as well as provides 1:1 coaching to young athletes.
